Close to 15 people showed up, some of whom had good questions on not only Jihad but also general Islam. A nurse at Stevens hospital requested for a Muslim chaplain for the Muslim patients at the hospital.

3) Jihad and present-day politics | | | Bellevue Community College Cafetaria | | | According to the program, a room was booked to have a round table discussion on the topics listed in appendix. There was a representation of Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, Bahaism and Islam. We, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community were under the banner of Islam. By the grace of Allah, the discussion was very interesting. We tried to present the exemplary model of the Holy Prophet (saw) and the teachings of Islam brought by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw). We were able to make a few new contacts who were willing to visit us and invited us to their holy places for better communication. We also displayed our jamat literature during this fair; 5 copies of “Life of Muhammad” along with some other free literature was taken by guests. Some participants were willing to have an interfaith dialogue with our community. A follow up e-mail has already been sent to Choy Leng Yeong (Buddhist) and Linda Scott (Buddhist). Linda Scott’s information has also been forwarded to lajna to follow up with her. There was an interesting conversation with another Buddhist who came from Canada for this fair. He liked our perspective about Guatama Buddha. He has our online information. | | | | | | Monthly interfaith discussion with the representatives of Ballard church was held in a Christian sanctuary.
